Facial hair is on average coarser in shaft diameter than body hair and grows in more variable directions across the different regions of the jaw, chin, and neck, sitting on a facial surface with substantially more contour change than the legs or torso. • Progressive Blade Span Rationale: Arranging blades with progressively increasing exposure, rather than uniform exposure, distributes the cutting force across multiple blade passes within a single stroke, which internal testing associates with reduced tug on coarse hair compared to a uniform-exposure array of the same blade count.
• Pivot Range Engineering: The pivot mechanism is engineered for a wider multi-directional angular range specifically to accommodate the jawline and neck's contour changes, maintaining consistent blade-to-skin contact pressure as the stroke direction and facial angle change.
• Trimmer Blade Placement: The precision trimmer is mounted on the cartridge's reverse edge at an angle optimized for sideburn and mustache line detail work, positioned so it can be engaged with a simple wrist rotation rather than a separate tool.

Men's Shaving Technique Guide

• Shave with the grain (in the direction of hair growth) on the first pass to minimize irritation, especially on the neck where hair growth direction is often more variable.
• Rinse the cartridge frequently during shaving to clear trapped hair and maintain blade glide, particularly with denser facial hair.
• Replace the cartridge every 5 to 10 shaves, or sooner if tug or irritation increases — a dulling blade edge is the most common cause of nicks and razor burn.
• Use the integrated precision trimmer for sideburn and mustache line work after the main shave, when hair length and skin position are easiest to judge accurately.
